Mohammed, Abdulrasaq Akanni

Mohammed Abdulrasaq Akanni is a performance-driven and goal-oriented individual who believes that empathetic leadership in business and governance is a momentous force for societal advancement. He studies Religious Studies at the University of Ilorin, Kwara state.

Abdulrasaq serves as a member of the Student Representative Council at the University of Ilorin. He was a Lagos State Youth Ambassador (2018-2019). He is the Chief Executive Officer of Retrol Small Chops.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Abdulrasaq worked at Dayo Ultimate Small Chops as a Kitchen Manager (2015-2017) and at Seedorf Small Chops as a Field Director (2017-2018). Due to his vastness in entrepreneurship and public speaking, he represented Lagos State Youth Ambassadors in the “Get in The Ring” Business Pitch Contest at the 2018 Africa Industrialization Day / Young African Industrialists week organized by the Lagos State Government, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives. He emerged as the winner.

As a youth-driven with vision, he is passionate about exploring the universe and interested in business-related matters. Akanni is the Assistant Social Secretary of the Foundation of Aspiring Youths in Ethical Leadership. In this position, he is instrumental in the engagement of the volunteers for the implementation of the  organisation’s strategic goals.
