Akorede Taiwo Abdulgafar

Taiwo Akorede is a youth-activist, visionary, leader and an author from Southwestern Nigeria. His philosophy hinges upon the promotion intellectualism and ethical leadership as a veritable tool for societal development. Taiwo speaks and champions social initiatives.

With a gusto for community development and youths’ empowerment, Taiwo co-founded a not-for-profit organisation – Foundation for Aspiring Youths in Ethical Leadership (F.Y.L). He serves as the Chairman of F.Y.L’s Board of Trustees. In the year 2016, AbdulGafar first self-published The Green Light in Nigeria and then revised the book, after 2 years, in the United States. His book is sold worldwide on Amazon. By chronicling his personal experience on his branded platform “TAAG International”—that was launched in May, 2018 in the United States—Taiwo motivates the young individuals.

 Akorede volunteers as a member of myriad social groups: Toastmasters International, Rotary International, Nobel Heart Children Foundation, Spin Club, Dallas County College Street Team, Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), North Lake College TRIO Club, and Obama Foundation, Sheriff-Guards of Nigeria, among others. Akorede served as a local council chairman for 5years, He also served as the Vice President for Irving Toastmasters, Texas in 2019. Taiwo, a member of the US Army, owns his Associate of Art degree in Communication from Dallas College, Texas USA. He is friendly, jovial, and single.
